Maps
Dumfries and Galloway has plenty of fantastic routes to try by foot or bike, from short journeys in Town for shopping and business to longer recreational routes into the beautiful countryside. Our towns are ideally sized for walking or cycling with key locations only short distance away. You can also take part in numerous social cycle rides throughout the region.
Towns in Dumfries and Galloway are relatively compact and there are quick short cuts that often help you reach your destination faster than by car. It is often easy for you to access off road paths to connect up with the town centre and other key destinations.
